A Note on Local Fees

Park & port fees, paid directly on site.

The Galápagos archipelago is a protected national park. A small number of official entrance and conservation fees are regulated by the Ecuadorian authorities and must be settled in person by each traveler. They are not part of any tour package, ours included, and are paid in cash at the airport or local ports.

Transit Control Card (TCT)
$20 per person

Issued by the Galápagos immigration authority to register entries, exits and length of stay.

Paid at Quito or Guayaquil airport before your flight to Galápagos

Galápagos National Park Fee
$200 per adult

The main conservation fee. Funds the protection of the ecosystem, park rangers, marine sites and visitor management.

Paid on arrival at Galápagos airport

Municipal & Port Fees
$1 - $3 per crossing

Small local fees collected at the docks when moving between islands or boarding certain marine activities.

Paid in cash at island ports during inter-island transfers
